UncommonDreams Inc. is dedicated to supporting underfunded athletes in niche sports through financial aid, mentorship, and essential resources, fostering a future where talent faces no barriers and dreams become reality.
UncommonDreams was founded by Eric Owusu, a Black athlete chasing Olympic gold in skeleton racing. After experiencing firsthand the financial and resource barriers in niche sports, Eric created UncommonDreams to ensure no athlete’s journey is cut short because of lack of access or support. Our story is one of resilience, vision, and a belief that extraordinary achievements come from uncommon paths.

I sacrificed bills, drove hours, and did everything on my own just to earn ice time. The barriers weren’t talent; they were access. That’s why UncommonDreams exists: so no athlete, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, has to fight those battles alone.”
